Our Shared Journey
We are Dawn and Terri, a mother–daughter team, and everything we do is a tribute to the two people who continue to guide us: our mum and nan, Shirley. We also want to honour Dawn’s beloved brother, Steven (Terri’s uncle), whose spirit inspired our mascot. And behind the scenes, none of this would be possible without the unwavering support of our husbands, Roy and Adam.

"Steven's Top Pick" marks our absolute favorite treats of the week! Named in honor of Dawn’s brother, Steven (Terri’s uncle), Steven is more than just a mascot; he represents the joy and coastal spirit that we bring to every bake.
For us, this business is about more than just baking—it's a shared journey. As the full-time carer for my wonderful children with autism and disabilities, I (Terri) am unable to work outside the home.
So, my incredible mum, Dawn, who works full-time, partners with me on this business, bringing her passion for baking to the family kitchen after a long day's work. Every single bake is a labor of love and a testament to our family's dedication.

Shirley's Girlies was born out of a desire to create something together, a way to make ends meet and to get my children involved, helping them learn confidence and valuable skills in a safe and loving space.
